Busy Bees at Geelong West is seeking a reliable and passionate Full-Time Chef to join our team and play a vital role in supporting children’s health, wellbeing, and development through nutritious, high-quality meals.

About the Role
As the Chef at Busy Bees at Geelong West, you will be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious meals that support children’s growth and meet dietary and regulatory requirements. Your role will include:
Preparing and cooking daily meals for children in line with approved menus
Catering for allergies, cultural needs, and individual dietary requirements
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
Managing food preparation areas in line with health regulations
Working collaboratively with the Centre Director and educators
Supporting children’s positive relationship with food and healthy eating habits
Ensuring compliance with food safety standards and Busy Bees policies
What You’ll Need
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or relevant experience as a Chef/Cook)
Experience working in a childcare or similar environment (preferred)
Strong knowledge of food safety, nutrition, and allergen management
Current Working with Children Check (Employee) – VIC requirement
Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
