Chapter Lead LLM / Agentic Expert

As a Chapter Lead LLM / Agentic Expert, you fulfill a dual responsibility within the organization. You oversee the development and implementation of Large Language Models (LLM), Generative AI, and Agentic solutions specific to your domain. The majority of your time is dedicated to collaborating with your team, formulating both strategic and technical visions to effectively integrate Generative AI and Agentic technologies within the bank. This role requires comprehensive insight into your domain’s capabilities, expertise, and experience, empowering you to make decisions regarding the allocation of your team members’ capacity to meet the global backlog demands presented by Product Area Leads and Tribe Leads.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Tribe Lead and Product Area Lead to develop a forward-looking perspective on the future of Generative AI and Agentic capabilities within the bank.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on LLM, Generative AI, and Agentic solutions, providing guidance and insight as needed.

  • Work closely with LLM and Agentic experts in your team to discuss and align on required skills and capacity for successful delivery.

  • Jointly with the Tribe Lead, Product Area Lead and other Chapter Leads, determine the allocation of your team’s capacity to deliver on global priorities.

  • Guide and develop your team to achieve organizational objectives, fostering engagement and delivering results through inspiring leadership.

  • Manage and report on the performance of a substantial and diverse team, setting appropriate performance goals for direct reports or projects.

  • Attract and retain top talent to strengthen and sustain the team’s capabilities.

How to Succeed

  • Hold an MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, preferably with a focus on Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval, or Machine Learning.

  • Have at least four years of experience building Machine Learning pipelines and models.

  • Demonstrate experience with the operationalization of LLMs, Generative AI applications, or Agentic solutions.

  • Possess a deep understanding of Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI.

  • Bring management experience within an Agile organization.

  • Show a proven track record in analytics and resource planning.

  • Display the ability to lead teams of experts in highly complex and dynamic environments.

  • Have experience building end-to-end machine learning software products that incorporate NLP or IR components.

  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills at both technical and business levels.

  • Be fluent in written and spoken English.
