Your role and work environment:

CISO Chapter Lead at ING Hubs Spain will support the implementation of ING’s global security strategy within the local hub and will oversee the delivery and improvement of IT security services in the chapter, ensuring alignment with CISO standards and regulatory requirements.

The role focuses on Leading a team of security professionals, fostering knowledge sharing, and driving service quality and operational excellence. CISO Chapter Lead will act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, promoting security awareness and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and improvement IT security services within your area (e.g., SOC, IAM, incident response).
  • Supporting implementation of security standards and processes in alignment with global CISO strategy.
  • Monitoring service performance and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Sharing knowledge and coach team members to build expertise and craftsmanship.
  • Assisting in onboarding new talents and support their development.
  • Ensuring high-quality delivery of security services and timely issue resolution.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of innovative technologies.
  • Maintaining clear communication with internal teams and escalate issues when needed.
  • Fostering a culture of security and innovation across ING’s agile organization

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in information security leadership, ideally in global environment
  • Hands-on experience with global security services (e.g., SOC, IAM, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response)
  • Communication, flexibility and goal-oriented skills
  • Being passionate about working with people and developing talents of others make you fulfilled,
  • Being proactive, innovative, and open to new challenges and technologies (AI, automation).
  • Analytical thinking skills, initiative and the ability to succeed in a complex environment
  • Experience with managing relationships with customers and suppliers at senior management levels
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English (C1 level).
  • It would be a big plus if you have:
  • Experience with financial sector regulations and audits (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
  • Proven success in implementing advanced security technologies and automation.
