Your role
As Chapter Lead Customer Behavioural Modelling, you are responsible for building and leading a chapter that embeds advanced behavioural analytics into pricing, product propositions, and commercial decision‑making across Business Banking. You are combining strategic ownership, people leadership, and delivery responsibility. You translate advanced analytics into tangible value for customers and ING, and ensure insights are structurally embedded into customer journeys, pricing strategy, and local processes.
Your responsibilities
- Lead a chapter of specialists (analysts, modelling experts, and data scientists), setting clear vision, priorities, and craftsmanship standards.
- Own the behavioural analytics capability, from customer modelling to real-life application in journeys, pricing, and sales processes.
- Embed advanced analytics structurally into product pricing, sales propositions, and cost elements across Business Banking.
- Act as a strategic partner for Pricing, Sales, Product, influencing strategic choices with data-driven insights.
- Ensure successful landing and scaling of key initiatives, with focus on, granular customer segmentation, price elasticity, and transaction‑based behavioural insights.
- Drive continuous improvement of pricing strategies, balancing customer value, commercial performance, risk, and societal impact.
- Play a leading role in high‑priority strategic initiatives and contribute to the long‑term vision of Pricing and PCM within ING.
Your team & environment
You will be part of the Center of Expertise Pricing Business Banking, a central team within Business Development, working across all Business Banking products and segments (SEM, SME, MidCorp, REF, Commercial Finance, Lease). Pricing is a key driver of customer behaviour and profitability, and your work directly impacts ING’s results, risk profile, and customer perception
Who are you
- You are strategically and analytically strong and easily form a vision. You substantiate your vision with facts and express it clearly.
- Your communication and organizational skills are above par. You dare to do things differently in a decisive and result orientated way and have proven experience in stakeholder management.
- Experience translating advanced analytics and customer behavioral models into strategy and business outcomes.
- Affinity with pricing concepts such as value‑based, behavioral, risk‑based, or cost‑plus pricing.
- You put the team's interests first whilst taking the lead. You voice your opinions clearly and aren’t afraid to give and receive feedback.
- You want to make an impact. You actively look for improvements in product and price propositions to optimize value creation for ING.
- You have completed a university education, preferably in Business Economics, Business Administration, Econometrics or a related field.
- Experience in Finance, Sales, Business Lending, Market and / or Credit Risk is a plus.
