The BB Data and Analytics team is accountable for leading the Business banking data and advanced analytics agenda by ensuring we consume and protect the best data assets to achieve our organizational vision of NPS 30+ and drive driven decisions. 

BB Data and Advanced Analytics is a team of highly skilled Data and Advanced Analytics professionals who work collaboratively to achieve our vision of building a brighter future for our customers using Data, Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence across the Retail Bank.

The BB Chapter for data, insights and advanced analytics, has the responsibility for supporting and developing the analytics capability of the team towards the advanced analytics and leading the data team

Impact & contribution :

The EM Data and Advanced Analytics –Chapter Area Lead is responsible for leading the India based BB analytics and data team while actively supporting the Business Bank Chapter and Crew Leads. This position plays a crucial role in driving innovation and ensuring that the analytics function sets a high standard for delivery and delivers significant value to the organization. The role also has functional accountability of CEE Delivery and Capability for business banking

• Enable design and execution of advanced analytics strategy in alignment with the group’s overall business objectives. Identify opportunities to leverage advanced analytics to drive business growth and operational efficiency
• Lead and mentor a team of insights/advanced analytics/data chapter leaders. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
• Accountable for CEE BB Delivery and Capability along with leading the autonomous squad based in India
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in data analytics, machine learning, and big data technologies. Drive innovation by implementing new analytical methodologies, tools and technologies.
• Covering all aspects of data enrichment, visualisation and analytics in the value chain as well as enhancing outcomes and capability through adoption of predictive and advanced analytics
• Collaborate with senior executive leaders across locations and BUs to understand business challenges and provide data-driven solutions. Communicate complex analytical insights and strategic recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in an actionable manner
• Evolving current state data and analytical process to harness new technology and improve the customer experience
• Driving Data driven insights to support business decisions and customer communications via Next Best Conversations.

Reporting lines :

Reporting into the General Manager, Analytics and Data Science in India and have a functional reporting line into General Manager Data and Advanced Analytics in Australia

Roles & Responsibilities :

An influential data and advanced analytics leader with a track record in leading, developing and inspiring a high performing team with a history of promoting an inclusive culture where colleagues are engaged and feel proud to be part of the team.

• 15+ years of data and advanced analytics experience
• Experience in leading team of 40+ members preferably across locations/countries
• Proven experience in setting up, leading and enhancing analytical capability  
• Ideally from DS/ Advanced Analytics background.
• Would be useful to have campaign delivery experience
• Strong stakeholder management across geographies
• Passion for creating a culture of high performance and leading with influence and collaboration
• Negotiation and Influencing Skills – Demonstrates an ability to find solutions that are in the best interest of both the customer and CBA, using advanced questioning techniques.  Is able to have difficult conversations with stakeholders that through professionalism will preserve the long-term relationship.
• Open to change and transformation agenda and driving that for the team
• Ability to manage a large and varied stakeholder group.
• Strong organisational, planning, time management and project management skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• A leader with strong leadership qualities.
• Has a good understanding of Data Ecosystem (AWS preferred) on Cloud and Advanced Analytics techniques to deliver value from data.

Qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in an engineering, finance, business, IT
