As a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, the Chaplain PRN provides spiritual and emotional care to OU Health patients, families, and staff of all faith backgrounds. This role assesses and addresses spiritual needs, develops and updates care plans, and ensure culturally competent support in accordance with professional chaplaincy standards. The Chaplain PRN offers interfaith services, consults on ethical issues and Advance Directives, participates in on-call rotations, and documents interventions in patient records. Additonally, the Chaplain PRN supports staff wellness, coordinates bereavement services, and collaborates across departments to deliver holistic care.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deelop and communicate integrated care plans.
Assess and address patients' spiritual and emotional needs; document care in medical records.
Participate actively in patient care conferences, program meetings, and crisis interventions.
Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff, including on-call and shift rotations.
Maintain records and report on Spiritual Care services as required.
Communicate with area faith communities and integrate spiritual care into all assigned ministry areas.
Contribute to planning and implementing Spiritual Care department initiatives and personal development goals.
Participate in professional growth activities.
Uphold standards of care, accreditation, and compliance; adapt to changing needs.
Offer spiritual support, counseling, and bereavement care in line with patient and family preferences.
Lead religious rituals, services, and educational events.
Serve as a resource on spiritual, ethical, and advance directive issues.
Collaborate with community clergy and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive spiritual care.
Participate in quality management and interdisciplinary meetings.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and effective working environment.
Mentor volunteers and students.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, or related field from a seminary or graduate school with accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) required.
Experience: 3 years of experience as a clinical professional chaplain in a hospital setting required.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s): 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) through the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), Clinical Pastoral Education International (CPEI), or The College of Pastoral Supervision & Psychotherapy (CPSP) required.

Demonstrates interpersonal and customer service skills, works independently, and shows organizational, administrative, and clerical abilities.
