Channel Manager, Lighting and Fan Portfolio - Residential

Location: This is approved to be Remote anywhere in the Continental US.

Position Summary

Responsible for developing, project managing and supporting key initiatives for Residential and Remodel channels with builder customer specific initiatives for Minka, Millennium and RP Lighting & Fans! Partners with Sales to implement channel strategy and works in conjunction with Product and Marketing teams to strengthen brand position and key account partnerships for overall channel performance. Provides market intelligence on builder market and multi-channel landscape, business verticals and competitive activities. 20-30% Travel Required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and complete a comprehensive channel strategy with lighting and fan channel team supporting Customer First approach
  • Effectively translates customer brand/product strategies, competitive environment, and operational requirements
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to develop a prioritized 12 to 36-month calendar of central initiatives. Recommend priorities and encourage harmonies across programs and brands within a channel.
  • Provide category management and SKU assortment recommendations to Product Development to optimize performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the Ferguson showroom network
  • Collect and analyzes channel program and product feedback (field sales and customer), builder program structure and other activities to ensure that metrics are in line with channel strategies and cost-to-serve, as well as within business pricing guardrails
  • Support NPD activities from pre-discovery through commercialization, launch, ongoing training/customer-facing and promotional initiatives alongside channel peers; support also includes following, contributing to and leading stage-gate process where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to improve forecast accuracy through project timelines and secured quotes to support, reduce finished goods inventory and E&O
  • Recommend base and stretch financial goals for the upcoming year for customers/channels.
  • Delivers Go To Market support on profitable product mix. Manages financial metrics within area of responsibility with a focus on net sales and gross margin.
  • Maintain data package representation of OBL builder product catalog; includes new item setup and content/asset updates
  • Work with Marketing team to develop and deploy content (images, videos, marketing copy, articles, specs, etc.) to enhance builder and end consumer experience
  • Maintain and evolve Project Tool and Builder Presentations with Marketing team as a key asset to the customer and builder program experience
  • Act as both a change agent and early adopter of change, inclusive of programs, processes, structure etc. Also pro-actively seeks out “best practices” collaboration within cross-functional team environment
  • Leads and champions continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manages active programs by working cross-departmentally to ensure details, tracking, rebate credits, etc. are adhered to and applied as applicable
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of primary and secondary data across market, builder, and channel, recommending improvements from the previous year based on success of initiatives and marketplace trends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS / BA in marketing, business, or related field
  • 3+ years channel marketing experience, preferably in builder, home décor / improvement, or building materials
  • Self-directed with strong project management skills; high level of comfort with multi-tasking
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on cross-functional process improvement
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, comfortable speaking to large groups
  • Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables at minimum) and Power Point

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$9,225.00 - $15,033.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
