Your role

The junior Change Expert supports the global Chief Procurement Officer by contributing to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives. The role ensures the design, execution, and monitoring of internal business processes, acts as a liaison between departments, and enables effective and efficient operations across the procurement function.

Your responsibilities

Change Management

  • Supports a high-performance culture by delivering project management support activities such as preparing project progress reports and budget overviews.
  • Contributes to the effective execution of internal business processes and ensures alignment with organizational goals through structured planning, monitoring, reporting, and communication. Key activities in this respect are review and enhance existing processes within the area of responsibility, implementing innovation initiatives to drive ongoing improvements.
  • Draft, edit, and communicate materials tailored to various audiences, ensuring clarity and alignment with communication goals.
  • Provide specialized advice on interpreting and applying policies and procedures, resolving complex or sensitive issues as needed.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of organizational policies (such as DSI-process) and ensure compliance within the team, identifying and addressing non-compliance where necessary.
  • Identify and assess project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating and resolving them as appropriate.

Stakeholder Management

  • Effectively engages with internal stakeholders across departments, primarily within the Procurement organization, to align on priorities, share insights, and coordinate activities.
  • Ensures transparent communication and fosters collaboration to support smooth operational execution and strategic alignment.

Project Management Support

  • Coordinate and execute initiatives and projects in the domain of the CPO Office. Communicate and advise stakeholders.
  • Plan and deliver small-scale projects or workstreams using project management methodologies to ensure intended outcomes are achieved.

Strategic Challenges

One of the key challenges in this role, and across the broader organisation, is transitioning Procurement is undergoing from a business partner-oriented set-up to a category-focused approach. A category-focused approach unlocks procurement benefits and levers such as collection of demand, harmonisation of our ways of working, creating efficiencies, single supplier experience. This transformation requires close alignment between teams part of the Procurement function in which the junior Change Expert pays an important role to support the Global CPO.

Furthermore, you have:

  • 1-3 years in Business Management area in an international (financial services provider) organisation
  • Part of CxO-Office team to support Chief Procurement Officer/Chief Information Officer/Chief Technology Officer
  • Master English business language/communication perfectly (spoken as well as written)
  • Strong project management skills to align with multiple stakeholders
  • Good writing skills to communicate effectively
  • Financial acumen
