More than a century later, the Medical School is still breaking new ground. The educational objective is to graduate physicians with the knowledge, skill, and values to become leaders in their chosen field.

The rigorous four-year MD program offers students the academic foundation and clinical experience they need to move confidently to the next step in their educations and careers.  The curriculum is integrated horizontally and vertically, which means students will always be using what they have learned. The problem-based learning approach emphasizes critical thinking and clinical application. Patient contact begins the first semester and continues throughout all four years. The Medical School offers clinical education through an extensive and diverse network of health care sites.

A medical education at the Medical School would not be complete without its vital–and growing–research community. Faculty from the School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences are internationally renowned in their fields, and for fostering an atmosphere of collegiality and collaboration across specialties and institutions.
