Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 9:30-18:00Dissection and dictation of gross description for Histologic/Cytologic surgical specimens. Ability to multi-task including troubleshooting and problem solving. Tasks are performed on a self-directed manner with minimal supervisory oversight.

Education/Experience:
A Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university and successful completion of an accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program. Master’s Degree preferred.
Language Ability:
Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations and demonstrates initiative, strong reasoning ability and good judgment.
Computer Skills:
Ability to use Laboratory Information System and various other software programs
Certificates and Licenses:
Certification by a recognized certifying agency for clinical laboratory professionals preferred (ASCP, ASMT, NCA, etc). Certifications for Pathology Assistants from the ASCP Board of Registry mandatory.
