Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

East Compton, CA Full Time
About myPlace Health
myPlace Health was founded in 2021 by mission-aligned healthcare leaders and organizations that are committed to drastically improving health outcomes, quality and experience for vulnerable older adults and frail seniors. We specialize in providing value-based, comprehensive care and coverage for older adults with significant needs so they can thrive in the homes they love and in the communities they cherish.

Our mission is simple: to enable older adults to live the independent lives they deserve. We pursue this mission through our myPlace PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) model, which provides seamless primary care, integrated health plan coverage, personalized social engagement, and customized services delivered in the participant’s preferred place.

myPlace Health is building a mission-driven team that shares our passion for redefining the way older adults experience care as they “age in place” in the community. This is a unique opportunity to take on one of our country’s most challenging healthcare problems and join a fast-growing, dynamic team as we prepare to scale our mission to serve more markets.

About This Role
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you’ll play a meaningful role in helping older adults live with greater independence, dignity, and joy. Working hand-in-hand with a licensed Occupational Therapist and a supportive Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), you’ll bring compassion, creativity, and clinical skill to every interaction—whether it’s in a participant’s home, our day center, or out in the community.

At the heart of this role is the opportunity to support the implementation of personalized occupational therapy care plans that focus on what matters most to our participants: safety, mobility, confidence, and the ability to stay connected to daily life. You’ll guide and encourage each individual as they build the functional skills that help them thrive, and you’ll share your insights and observations to ensure their care evolves thoughtfully and responsively.

This is more than a job—it’s a chance to be part of a mission-driven team deeply committed to aging with grace and purpose. If you’re someone who finds joy in helping others reach their goals, values teamwork, and wants to make a lasting difference in the lives of older adults, we’d love to welcome you to our community.
