Essential Functions
Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.
Develop curriculum for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.
Deliver instruction for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.
Complete documentation including grades, etc., as required by the supervisor.

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills
Current LVN or RN license in the State of Texas, in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing.
At least 1 year of nursing experience within the last 3 years, with direct patient care in a long-term care facility, hospital, clinic, or similar setting.
Must meet Texas Health & Human Services (HHSC) requirements to teach Nurse Aide Training.
Current CPR/BLS certification required.
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience teaching, training, or supervising CNAs, nurse aides, or patient care technicians.
Strong understanding of infection control, documentation, patient safety, and state testing requirements.
Ability to deliver classroom, lab, and clinical instruction that meets Texas Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) requirements.
This job description covers a position in which the percentage of time spent on the essential functions will vary based on the workload and will ultimately be determined by the supervisor.
