Position Summary:
The Child Life supports the emotional well-being and healthy development of pediatric patients and their families. This role provides therapeutic play, preparation for procedures, and coping support while collaborating closely with the medical team to enhance the overall patient experience.
What you will do:
Shift: Four 10-hour shifts, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM, Monday–Saturday (Saturday rotation: once every 3 weeks)
Areas Covered: Burn Unit, Pediatrics, Pediatric ICU, Outpatient Clinics, and Pediatric outpatient clinics including Hematology and Oncology, and other needs throughout the hospital

What You’ll Need:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Experience: Required: Less than 1 year of related experience
Preferred: 1–2 years of experience
Licensure/Certifications:
Preferred: Basic Life Support (CPR)
Child Life Certification eligible or Certified Child Life Specialist (must obtain within 6 months of hire)
Pay Range: $20.02 - $31.03 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
