What this opportunity involves:
An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a highly motivated and commercially astute professional to join our dynamic team as Centre Manager for Rundle Place, one of Adelaide's most prestigious retail destinations in the heart of the CBD. This flagship shopping centre represents a premium asset within Australia's retail landscape, requiring a manager who can deliver exceptional performance and stakeholder value.
As Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management and strategic operation of this iconic Rundle Mall property. Working with one of Australia's leading internally managed real estate investment trusts (REITs), you will partner with passionate, agile owners who are committed to delivering superior results and maintaining the centre's position as a market leader.
You will oversee a dedicated team including the Retail Marketing Manager, Administration Manager, Operations Manager, and coordinate with third-party contractors to ensure seamless operations that reflect the premium nature of this CBD asset.
An Overview of the role:
You will lead and inspire your team to manage, lease, market, and operate Rundle Place to the highest professional standards, maximizing net returns for our REIT owner while maintaining the centre's prestigious market position in Adelaide's retail sector.
Strategic Financial Management: Prepare and analyse comprehensive income/expenditure budgets, business plans, monthly performance reports, outgoings recoveries, forecasts, and audits aligned with the owner's strategic objectives and critical reporting dates.
Performance Excellence: Conduct thorough analysis of centre performance through monthly and quarterly reporting, reforecast analysis, and continuous monitoring of key performance indicators to drive optimal results for this premium CBD asset.
Operational Efficiency: Maintain rigorous control over operating costs while ensuring service delivery standards meet the expectations of a flagship retail destination, balancing cost management with the quality requirements of a premium centre.
Strategic Asset Enhancement: Collaborate with the passionate REIT ownership team to identify and implement value-add opportunities that enhance the centre's performance, tenant satisfaction, and competitive positioning within Adelaide's CBD retail market

To be successful, you’ll have strong interpersonal skills to enable interaction with Owners, retailers, staff members and co-workers. You will have strong negotiation and communication skills both in developing relationships and resolving disputes or problems as they arise. Previous experience in a CBD or sub-regional asset is an absolute must as will a proven ability to lead a team.
You will exhibit strong stakeholder management skills to effectively engage and influence a diverse stakeholder base and be commercially astute, identifying opportunities which will drive income and overall centre performance.
You will need to hold as a minimum a Certificate of Registration as Real Estate and Business Sales Representative valid within the state of South Australia.
