About The Opportunity
Leads assembly cell of associates to meet production demands. Engages in assembly of product, using various hand tools and equipment.Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
2. Lead teams of 4-6 associates in assembly cells including coaching on safety, quality, productivity, and company policies.
3. Assign team members to tasks in work cell.
4. Verify material and parts to work order.
5. Ensure correct and consistent assembly of part to blueprint by verifying measurements.
6. Perform self and peer quality inspection during the assembly of product to maintain quality.
7. Alert team lead to any issues with the quality of product being assembled.
8. Perform waste walks, line balancing and uses other Cell Principles in work cell to increase efficiency.
9. Communicate to team lead at least 30 minutes prior to the completion of an order to minimize downtime and increase efficiency between jobs.
10. Communicate to team lead any obstacles in the cell that hinder the production process such as material, equipment, personnel, etc.
11. Train associates in cells
12. Follow all process requirements to include policies, guidelines, and work instructions.
13. Flex as an operator when not training or resolving issues within assigned cells.
14. Responsible to complete production paperwork to include: Do Check Verify form, Tote Verification form, shipping labels and Additional Material Request form, as well as record hourly cycle time.
