The Opportunity
Abbott Point of Care (APOC) is a division of Abbott that focuses on developing and manufacturing diagnostic testing solutions under i-STAT brand name, used directly at the patient's side.
We are looking for an experienced CEE Distributor Manager – Point of Care to lead and grow our distributor business across the Central & Eastern Europe region. Based in Warsaw, this role is critical in driving commercial success for our existing i‑STAT base business as well as newly launched products.
You will work closely with distributors, regional marketing, and cross‑functional teams to accelerate growth, ensure operational excellence, and strengthen Abbott’s presence in distributor markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales performance across the CEE distributor region, meeting revenue, margin, and non‑financial targets
- Grow the i‑STAT base business and support successful launch and uptake of new products (NPIs)
- Lead business development initiatives and identify new growth opportunities in distributor markets
- Manage and develop distributor relationships, including target setting, performance tracking, and joint business planning
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and account plans; track tender opportunities and manage submissions
- Partner closely with Regional Marketing on product launches, campaigns, and local market initiatives
- Build strong relationships with key customers, opinion leaders, and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards
- Promote best‑practice sales management, CRM usage, and market intelligence sharing
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Regulatory Affairs, and other stakeholders to support the full sales process
Required Qualifications
- Min. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
- Proven experience managing distributors in international or regional markets
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive revenue and margin growth
- Excellent planning, forecasting, and analytical skills
- Ability to work cross‑functionally in a complex, matrix organization
- High customer orientation and strong relationship‑building skills
- Willingness to travel within the CEE region
- Fluent English and Polish – required
- Additional CEE languages are a strong advantage
