Position Purpose:
The CDL Transfer Driver at SRS Building Products ensures safe, timely transport of building materials between company locations, complying with all regulations and delivery schedules. This role supports operational efficiency and customer service excellence through skilled driving and effective coordination with logistics teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate commercial trucks and follow all safety protocols
Load/unload materials as needed
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
Conduct vehicle inspections and report issues
Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations
Meet delivery schedules and support logistics coordination
Provide excellent customer service during interactions
Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize routes
Resolve transport-related issues efficiently
Direct Manager Direct Reports:
Reports to the Branch Manager; no direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
Extensive travel required, covering local, regional, and cross-country routes.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, prolonged sitting, and frequent movement including standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Must operate manual and automatic vehicles in all weather conditions, with strong visual and auditory skills for safe driving. Minimum Qualifications:
Valid CDL with a clean driving record
Minimum 3 years of commercial driving; building materials experience preferred
Knowledge of safety protocols and route planning

Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varied weather conditions

Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
