Position Description: 
Responsible for safely operating a vehicle to pick up, transport and/or deliver donated goods for Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay. Must have strong adherence to all safety policies and wearing all required personal protective equipment at all times. Responsible for providing a high level of customer service to donors and other GCNA departments. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operates a vehicle to collect, transport and/or deliver donations, processed merchandise and other materials, as directed. 

  • Acts courteously, handles customer concerns, and resolves and/or escalates when necessary. 

  • Follows all established policies, procedures and local, county, state and federal laws.

  • Performs daily vehicle maintenance checks.

  • Ensures daily work requirements are met, maintaining quality and quantity performance.  Processes and submits paperwork as directed and reviews reporting.

  • May be required to work overtime to complete assigned tasks.

  • Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used. Immediately takes action and/or reports any unsafe or potential hazards.

  • Unloads vehicles and moves items as required.

  • Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.

  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

•    Has a California Class A Driver License with clean record 
•    Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
•    Has a California DMV record that is no more than 30 days old 
•    Must have a current MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) that has no citation convictions (other than parking) within past 3 years. 
•    Has a Department of Transportation medical card. 
•    Must be able to read maps and communicate using GW issued radio or phone equipment. 
•    Must pass pre-employment DOT drug test as a condition of employment. 
•    Must have excellent customer service skills and proven ability to interact effectively with diverse customer base. 
•    Available to work weekends and early mornings. 
•    Respects and has knowledge of cultures, ethnicities, gender, sexual orientations and age groups other than ones own, able to work effectively with all. 
•    Must be able to lift minimum 25 lbs. 
 


 

Pay Range Minimum

$17.70
