The Intern for Business Operations Delivery is accountable for ensuring complete and timely processing as well as support for Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation (CDCC) Clearing Members in areas such as:
Communications, Partner Relations and Member Clearing Services
Support the review process for Internal Procedures, Audits & Attestations and Incident Management
Projects & Initiatives
Operational Due Diligence including a Reporting, Reconciliations & Analysis
Assist the Business Operations team with maintaining and updating operational documentation (Manual of Procedures, testing scripts, training material, workflow charts). Responsibilities include performing reconciliations, analysis, user access reviews, and submitting timely internal reports. May also participate in projects and process improvement initiatives.
This role reports to: Manager, Member Services and Delivery, Business Operations
This role is hybrid (2-3 days/week in the office) - based in Toronto, ON.
Key Accountabilities:
Prepare timely Communications that are professionally written and distributed to both internal and external stakeholders
Perform the timely completion of various reconciliations, analysis to meet internal/external reporting requirements
Perform 1st review of the Sola Clearing User accesses including internal staff user profile setup
Assist with the review & update of documentation for the Business Continuity Plan, Disaster Recovery Program, Default Simulation, Incident Management and other related test scripts for CDCC exercises as required
Assist with the Incident management reporting process including redaction & filing according to Enterprise Risk Management guidelines; Collaborate with Business Operations teams and internal partners to ensure timely & accurate capture of events; Drafting of escalation notices as required
Review the library of operational documentation for Business Operations including the internal Operations Procedures Manual, Key Business Processes, Business Impact Analysis, workflows and training material
Support the Manager with processes for new products, projects and process improvements (including Onboarding, performing testing, operationalizing initiatives and updating procedures)
Interact with business partners including Technology, Client Services, Risk, as well as other internal departments
Adhere strictly to internal procedures, rules, audit requirements and internal controls verification processes
Must haves:
Currently working towards a Post-Secondary education in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, and/or Accounting is preferred
Effective listening, written and verbal communication skills
Client-Oriented with ability to deliver with accuracy, clear & concise details and timeliness
Solid interpersonal and organization skills with the demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize
Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision, as well as a team player
Proficiency with Google Suite, Excel and other desktop applications
Flexibility required to work in a time sensitive environment with tight deadlines
Nice to haves:
Knowledge of Collateral, Banking and Clearing/Settlements processes
Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in the Securities Financial Industry
General knowledge in Operations processes or Securities Accounting in the Securities Financial Industry
Bilingual is an asset

Salary Range: 20/hour-25/hour CAD
