Department Overview

At Motorola Solutions, we create technologies that our customers rely on as their lifeline. Dimetra is a mission-critical TETRA-based communication system. The Dimetra Console team is responsible for developing and maintaining Dispatch and Logging solutions, an essential part of advanced group communication solutions. Dispatching is a central functionality of such center. Console team is responsible for creating an integrated dispatch solution. The core functionality is delivering audio communication between dispatchers and radio users in the public safety industry - including fire rescue, 911 call takers, police, army and many others. Everywhere reliable, real-time and secure communication is required. On top of the audio services, a variety of features help operators improve their efficiency and effectiveness - like call logging, instant recording, text communication.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and supports features and business logic using C/C++ in dispatch console system components.

  • Diagnose product behavior from internal testing and customer support.

  • Debugs and develops solutions for product improvement.

  • Works with such technologies like C, C++, Linux, GIT, Jenkins, Node.js

  • Collaborates with members of interdisciplinary teams to implement and release high quality and reliable software product features.

  • Follows agile development process - thrive in an environment that performs continuous integration and testing.


Basic Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with a proven track record in developing software using the C/C++ language.

  • Experience with Node.js programming

  • Knowledge of object-oriented design techniques and best practices, coding principles, design patterns, and multi-threaded Windows development.

  • Windows and Linux Operating systems applications

  • Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, UDP, IP, VLANs, Routing, Switching) and network analysis (e.g. Wireshark)

  • Communicative english (B2+)

  • Ability to work on-site in Krakow office 2 days/week
