The Opportunity

We're seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team in Perth on a permanent, part-time basis (22.8 hours per week over 5 days). Working closely with the Head Chef, this role supports the day-to-day operation of our kitchen and catering services in a professional, high-standard environment.

Hours are worked between 7.00am and 5.00pm, with flexibility required to meet business needs and occasional overtime for functions.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and wash-up area in line with food safety standards
  • Process dishes and assist with cleaning of all food preparation and service areas
  • Receive, check and store kitchen deliveries and manage packaging disposal
  • Assist with basic food preparation and service when required
  • Prepare and maintain catering equipment, including plates, cutlery, glassware and trolleys
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and report maintenance or equipment issues

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in a similar catering, hotel or restaurant environment
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling practices
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage changing priorities
  • A proactive, reliable approach with a commitment to high standards of service
  • Flexibility to support morning or evening functions when required
