Unlock Your Potential as a Senior Analyst
The Category Revenue Senior Analyst is responsible for assisting the Revenue Manager in driving sustainable profitability via pricing, promotion and mix. This role must be able to assess complex pricing and promotion models and translate findings into recommendations and action plans suitable for executive management and sales teams. This is a 12 month contract position.
Key responsibilities
Provide analytics-driven thought leadership in Revenue Management to deliver measurable business outcomes
Drive profitable growth strategies by assessing, recommending and activating pricing, promotion and mix opportunities
Develop, sell-in and execute long-term pricing, promotion and mix strategies
Periodic refresh of revenue strategic plans that meet long-term business objectives and category direction.
Support joint business planning with key retailers and provide fact-based selling materials for retailer engagements.
Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all Kraft Heinz Food Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Ethical and Human Resources policies, programs and goals
Uphold the Kraft Heinz values and to work in a way that contributes to the company’s vision
Build relationships and work effectively with cross functional partners in areas such as Marketing, Category Development, Sales, Procurement, Demand Planning, etc.
Pricing:
Lead pricing analysis and recommended price moves aligned to category, brand and commercial targets
Design pricing strategy (lead / follow) and carry out optimum price index/price relativity analysis
Elasticity / cross elasticity modelling and forecasting
Promotion:
Define promotional guardrails to achieve category and business KPIs
Design clear promotional strategies looking into shopping behavior
Drive promotional optimisation by looking into promotional performance
Assess and improve return of trade investment via frequency and depth optimisation recommendations
Rebalancing trade budget
Trade investment review and guidance
Mix:
Assess optimal SKU and brand assortment to drive profitability
Deliver the annual pricing and trade optimisation plans to management
Track implemented recommendations and analyse post-promotion assessment of pricing and trade investment
Participate in monthly cadence routines as appropriate for Revenue Management
Build out tools, processes, insights and systems capabilities associated with pricing, promotion, mix and pack price architecture
Assist with educating the sales teams on moving toward profit goals
What you'll bring
3+ years of working experience in FMCG, consulting firm, financial institution or accounting firm
Experience working in a role that performs heavy data analytics is essential
Strong analytical skills and financial acumen that enable decision making
Strong interpersonal skills to influence and sell recommendations internally
Ability to think strategically and translate this thinking into measurable actions
Ability to follow up, understand issues and their resolution, and work them through to completion
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking full ownership of assigned responsibilities
Systems knowledge such as Sell out Data Analysis (e.g. Answers on Demand, Price Explorer, RPM, Assortment), SAP, Market Track, promotion evaluation tool desired
