About This Role:

Workplace Arrangements:  

This role will follow a hybrid remote/onsite schedule. Applicants for this role can expect to work on-site from our Ottawa Head Office, on Walkley Road 2 days a week on Tuesdays and Thursday and could be asked to come onsite for additional days as per business needs. 

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • Recommend and implement assortment plans in accordance with category and vendor strategies to deliver planned sales, margin (gross and net), and inventory turns 

  • Drive customer excitement by initiating and completing activities in accordance with approved assortment plans and company strategy 

  • Communicate effectively with the stores to provide relevant information needed to assist with their purchasing decisions and quantification and drive support of various programs 

  • Produce and complete sku and assortment related information as per the timelines detailed in the Buying or Planogram Calendar to minimize disruptions  

  • Conduct and complete product related activities to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards 

  • Align and communicate strategic marketing activities for all commodities to ensure marketing objectives are accurately met 

  • Deliver omni-channel assortment to provide a holistic customer experience 

 

What You'll Bring: 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in retail buying, merchandising, or merchandise planning 

  • Proven track record of meeting job objectives 

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative 

  • Able to communicate effectively and influence positively without authority 

  • Passion for retail and customer service 

 

Assets You May Have: 

  • Financial acumen an asset 

  • Post-secondary degree/certificate preferred 

  • Understanding of Omni-Channel retail 

  • Proficiency in French is an asset as this role will interact with our store leaders across Canada, including French-speaking provinces 

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite of products 

  • JDA & BI experience 

  • Familiarity with a franchise model 

 

Travel Requirements 

  • Some domestic travel required (10-15% of time).

Salary

$66,000.00 - $99,000.00
