Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Category Management Analyst will support the creation, execution, ongoing management, and renewal, extension or termination of Group, National GPO and non-GPO agreements across a wide variety of products and services required in an acute and/or non-acute healthcare setting. A key component of this position includes building and fostering relationships with internal spend management team members, internal stakeholders, and external supplier partners to support category contracting efforts to drive savings and standardization efficiencies within the system. The analyst is responsible for the daily operations and process improvement efforts for category management while fostering an environment of risk mitigation and sustainability both financially and operationally.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions- Coordinates the onboarding of new members (wholly owned and operated) to integrate under existing Group or national GPO and non-GPO agreements across a wide variety of products and services required in an acute or non-acute setting.
- Ensures fully executed agreements are communicated and sent to the appropriate team(s) by using the contract management tool.
- Ensure proper agreements and pricing are in place for all eligible members.
- Responsible for monitoring expiring contracts, resolving pricing issues and other discrepancies, triage issues and opportunities for contracting operation improvement.
- Assist in contracting strategy as it relates to developing savings opportunities across the system.
- Helps develop and maintain COPs slides, strategies, and collaboration with Group and National GPO representatives.
- Assists in supporting CLS affiliate workflow.
- Collaborates with Business Analytics on measuring, monitoring and reporting savings opportunities and other Key Performance Indicator under Group, National GPO and non-GPO agreements.
- Updating new Group and National GPO and non-GPO contract participant list.
- Produces a variety of reports for internal and external customers using contract management tools and Group and National GPO tools as well as internal tools.
- Provides recommendations to support the goals of TUKHS by working across spend management, alongside external stakeholders, to reduce pricing discrepancies and expiring contracts by reviewing and resolving timely.
- Develops and refines contract templates and processes to support efficient operations.
- Participates in the planning and monitoring of quality improvement activities within the department.
- Responsible for creating, monitoring, and working the contract bid calendar.
- Responsible for creating, monitoring, and facilitating Business Reviews with appropriate internal stakeholders and external supplier partners.
- Completes initial reviews of contracts, supplier material, and analytics to determine opportunities for optimization.
- Mine data for contract opportunities
- Create dashboards and reports to measure contract compliance and collaborate with members for continuous improvement.
- Integration of contracts during merger and acquisitions
- Track rebate compliance within the health system and suppliers.
- Manage Green Security

Required Education and Experience- Associates Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
- 3 or more years of experience in clinical product or service agreement utilization.
- 3 or more years of experience in supply chain or procurement.
- 2 or more years of experience in working on team projects.
Preferred Education and Experience- Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
- 5 or more years of experience in writing and reviewing contracts.
- 5 or more years of experience negotiating contracts in a vendor facing role or similar experience.
Knowledge Requirements- Must be able to work in a high paced environment.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to build and foster relationships.
- Must be highly organized.
- Must be collaborative and the ability to work with a team.
- Must be able to work on multiple competing projects simultaneously.
