Category Leader – Manpower-Based Services

We’re looking for a strategic and driven Category Leader/Manager to lead sourcing initiatives across high-impact categories including contract labour, engineering services, and asset repair. These categories are at the heart of operational excellence, requiring a sharp mind to balance cost, compliance, and performance.
You’ll be the go-to expert for sourcing manpower-intensive services, driving value through supplier partnerships, innovative sourcing strategies, and agile contract management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing all aspects of offer acquisition processes, including negotiating purchase terms, service levels and supplier selection.
Contract management and administration.
Discussing and managing solutions: managing all formal disputes and driving Aptiv to right and fair solutions.
Acquiring the best price, negotiating offers with the highest savings potential / cost avoidance.
Defining and updating category strategies, communicating and implementing them.
identifying, implementing and approving cost-improving initiatives.
Following the SCM policy and procedures in Aptiv.
Working with plants and suppliers in the event of delayed / missed deliveries – analysing the source of the cause and defining corrective actions.
Developing e-Catalogue and ERP contract strategies.
Management of e-Catalogues and ERP contracts.
Analysing market, expenses and key suppliers within the managed category.
Organizing meetings with suppliers and trade negotiations.
Managing and approving purchasing projects (Ariba sourcing).
Training, motivating and supporting the Sourcing Execution team.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or equivalent (Master’s preferred) with 3-5 years of sourcing experience in similar role (preferred in the manufacturing or automotive sector).
Proven experience in Packaging and/or Material Handling categories is preferred.
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
Ability to perform effectively in dynamic, fast-changing environments requiring adaptability and resilience.
Capability to operate independently while exercising a high level of responsibility and sound decision-making.
Excellent communication and project management abilities.
