Summary
Professional role operating at an advanced level within strategic procurement and global sourcing.
Applies in‑depth functional expertise and independent judgment to execute category strategies, manage complex supplier relationships and contribute to global sourcing objectives within a matrix organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Applies advanced analytical and commercial judgment to develop and execute global sourcing and category strategies
  • Works independently with limited guidance, primarily in complex or non‑standard situations
  • Leads and executes international sourcing initiatives including RFx processes, negotiations and contract implementation
  • May lead cross‑functional sourcing projects with moderate complexity, risk and business impact
  • Interprets internal and external business requirements and translates them into effective sourcing solutions
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance and Legal to support business objectives
  • Manages supplier performance, contract compliance and risk within the assigned categories
  • Promotes personal accountability for Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) in accordance with company policies

Required Qualifications

Education
Completed vocational training with relevant further qualification or comparable professional education with substantial relevant work experience.

Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in strategic procurement, global sourcing or category management, preferably in an international or industrial environment.

Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge and practical experience in strategic sourcing, negotiations and contract management
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop business cases, KPIs and performance tracking
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex topics in a matrix organization
  • Proficient in ERP and procurement systems (e.g. SAP, Ariba or comparable)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across functions and regions
  • Very good English skills; German language skills are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required
