About the role
The Category Analyst will play a key role in driving category growth by delivering actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across marketing, sales, and shopper engagement. This role focuses on analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities that strengthen Haleon’s position within our Wellness categories. The position reports to the Category Insights Lead and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, and Analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze category performance using syndicated data, shopper insights, and internal metrics to identify growth opportunities.
Prepare and present monthly Brand Business Review reports, integrating multiple data sources into a clear topline narrative while translating insights into compelling presentations and selling stories for internal teams.
Develop actionable recommendations for assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies based on consumer and market trends.
Support strategic planning by providing insights that influence brand and customer initiatives.
Monitor competitive activity and market dynamics to anticipate shifts and inform proactive strategies.
Create and deliver reports and dashboards that communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure insights are integrated into business planning and execution.
Assist in shopper research projects, including survey design, data interpretation, and presentation of findings.
Maintain data accuracy and integrity across all insight tools and platforms.
Why You?
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or related field.
3+ years of experience in Consumer Goods industry.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
Experience working with syndicated data sources (e.g., Nielsen, IRI).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver insights under tight timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree or MBA.
Experience in Category Management or Shopper Insights.
Familiarity with advanced analytics tools and techniques.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Location: This is a hybrid position based in Warren, NJ, requiring on-site presence 3 days per week.
The Salary Range for this role is $105,372 – $144,887 USD + 12% bonus
