About the role
MSS Security is looking for a casual security officer to work in a retail environment. This site is a retail shopping centre in Shellharbour, NSW. It's a customer-facing role suited to someone professional, switched on, and confident with written reporting. For the right candidate, there is potential to transition into a permanent full-time position in the future.
What you’ll be doing:
Providing security services within a retail shopping centre
Conducting regular foot patrols of the centre
Delivering strong customer service and engaging with the public
Responding to incidents and issues as they arise
Writing frequent, detailed, and accurate incident reports
Liaising with centre management and emergency services when required
What we’re looking for:
Valid NSW Security Licence
Very good spoken and written English (essential)
Strong report writing skills and attention to detail
Professional presentation and communication skills
Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced retail environment
Previous retail or customer service security experience (preferred)
Flexible availability, including weekends and varied shifts
