Casual Hourly Rate: $36.96–$45.51 (WT 2.1 to 3.4 + 25% casual loading)
Busy Bees at Byford Central is a 47-place that welcomes you with beautifully designed rooms, plenty of natural resources and exciting learning opportunities. The service is located on the corner of Larsen Rd and Evans Way, Busy Bees at Byford Central is conveniently situated next to Marri Grove Primary School and close to public transport, shops and parks.
Whether stepping in for short-notice shifts or covering planned leave, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every child feels supported and inspired to learn.
Your Impact as a Casual Educator
Step into different rooms and support permanent staff with daily routines and transitions
Deliver and assist with play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
Bring enthusiasm and adaptability to each shift
Essential Qualifications
Certificate III, Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or an equivalent).
A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one.
First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
Ability to provide a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all children.
Understanding the developmental milestones and needs of children in various age groups.
Capability to design, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs for children.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with children, parents and colleagues.
Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
Adaptable to various situations and needs that arise in an early childhood setting.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge:
Familiarity with the national early learning framework for children from birth to five years.
Understanding of the standards and assessment process to ensure quality service.
Respect and understanding of diverse cultures, families and individual children's needs.
Proficiency in using computers and relevant software to document children's learning and development.
Previous experience as an Educator, Assistant Educator, Childcare Assistant or similar.
