Job Description:

Amherst College invites applications for the Casual Data Entry Clerk position. The Casual Data Entry Clerk is a part-time, casual position with no benefits. The expected salary range for this job opportunity is: $19 to $22 per hour.

The salary offered will vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to relevant education, training, and experience, tenure status, and other nondiscriminatory business considerations.

This is a summer-only position.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Print and reconcile all first-year student ID's

  • Enter invoices and department charges into WorkDay for all Dining Services programs

  • Maintain records of insurance and business contracts for all Dining Services vendors

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual invoice reconciliation

  • Assist with various tasks related to relocation to the new Student Center and Dining Commons


Qualifications:

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Proven experience in data entry or a similar administrative role

  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain flawless accuracy in data entry

  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks effectively and maintaining a well-structured workflow

  • Proficient in using computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy policies

  • Successful completion of required reference and background checks

  • An acceptable criminal offender records information (CORI) check

  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical and lift test
