Job Description:
Amherst College invites applications for the Casual Data Entry Clerk position. The Casual Data Entry Clerk is a part-time, casual position with no benefits. The expected salary range for this job opportunity is: $19 to $22 per hour.
The salary offered will vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to relevant education, training, and experience, tenure status, and other nondiscriminatory business considerations.
This is a summer-only position.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Print and reconcile all first-year student ID's
Enter invoices and department charges into WorkDay for all Dining Services programs
Maintain records of insurance and business contracts for all Dining Services vendors
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual invoice reconciliation
Assist with various tasks related to relocation to the new Student Center and Dining Commons
Qualifications:
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in data entry or a similar administrative role
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain flawless accuracy in data entry
Proficiency in managing multiple tasks effectively and maintaining a well-structured workflow
Proficient in using computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy policies
Successful completion of required reference and background checks
An acceptable criminal offender records information (CORI) check
Successful completion of pre-employment physical and lift test
