Job Summary: This position is located inside of the Terror Club and Cafe Lah at Naval Support Activity Singapore.

Major Duties:

• Responsible for completing sales transactions, operating a cash register, accounting for sales receipts, and providing customer service. Perform all types of cash register transactions (cash, charge, check, etc.) in a procedurally correct manner. Maintains change fund and accounts for sales. Completes daily activity report (DAR) at the end of assigned shift. Communicates effectively and knowledgably with customers in regard to products being sold. Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Clean other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas. Accepts food orders from patrons and may serve alcoholic beverages. Spot checks the guest checks to ensure that the information recorded is correct. Follow all safety, security, and good housekeeping rules. Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications: 3 months of general experience OR High School Diploma Must have skill and knowledge to perform tasks involving several procedures and be able to concentrate on work assignments despite interruptions and distractions. Must have the ability to read and understand written material. Must have knowledge of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. Ability to operate a cash register or point of sales system, and run a snack bar. Must have working knowledge of sanitation standards and procedures to prevent contamination. Must know basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures.
