GENERAL FUNCTION:
A Product Line Manager manages a team of Product Development Managers. Develops long-term product plans, focusing on customers, competition, profitability, product life cycle, and service considerations. Coordinates and leads the activities of cross-functional teams involving various business partners in the development and deployment of new products, product enhancements, and process or procedural improvements. Develops financial operating plans, projects profit and loss, and is charged with achieving annual sales objectives for assigned products or areas. Sets strategic direction for the products and acts as a champion and advocate internally on value proposition and impact to business.


Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Banks risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage Product Development Team to ensure the creation of new products and enhancement of current products is executed successfully and in alignment with Bancorp and LOB strategic objectives .
  • Manage the overall product suite P& L of the Product suite to ensure that revenue and margin targets are being met and expenses are within budget.
  • Establish annual goals and objectives for each product.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of new products and services.
  • Ensure employee goals are established and tracked annually.
  • Actively cultivate and manage relationships with key customers and internal business partners.
  • Actively monitor industry trends; participates in industry forums, professional associations, conferences, etc.
  • Must have an extensive knowledge of Cash Processing Ecosystem
  • Actively manage Suppliers for contract negotiations and service level execution


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor' s degree in marketing, finance or business; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years experience in financial services product management and cash processing.
  • Tenure with a large multi-regional bank or financial institution.
  • Experience in managing a team of professionals preferred.
  • Recognized ability to interact with executive and senior management at headquarters and in the field (our Affiliate Bank structure) with a professional demeanor and presence .
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate and sell ideas influence in throughout a large organization ion.
  • Working know ledge of the related areas of finance, information technology, risk management, legal, compliance, education, Internet banking, call center sales and marketing.
  • Willingness to be * hands on* and act as individual project manager whenever necessary.
  • Able to negotiate terms of agreements and establish new product offerings


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Extended viewing of CRT screen.

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
