Cash Operations Lead - AVP

Details of the Division and Team:

Operations are responsible for driving the planning and the day-to-day management of the business to align with the bank's mission and strategic goals. Operations set the direction and manage performance to bank targets with a focus on continual performance improvement. Work includes:

  • Identifying and prioritizing product and service improvement opportunities and creating plans for implementation utilizing comprehensive knowledge of the company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business Supporting bank strategy, proactively identifying and managing areas of risk

  • Maintaining relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including regulators, market vendors and internal divisions

  • Communicating changes to operational requirements and their impact on relevant processes and controls

Your key responsibilities:

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily cash management operations, including domestic and cross-border payments, collections, cheque, clearing, and related processing activities.

  • Ensure transactions are processed accurately and within established service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Maintain strong operational controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor operational metrics, transaction volumes, and processing efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Control

  • Ensure operations comply with Taiwan regulatory requirements

  • Maintain effective operational risk management, including adherence to internal control standards and audit requirements.

  • Coordinate responses to regulatory reviews, internal audits, and external audits.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase STP (Straight Through Processing).

  • Partner with regional operations and technology teams to implement system enhancements and automation initiatives.

  • Support migration from manual processes to scalable operating models aligned with regional/global standards.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the key operations contact for cash management product, treasury services, corporate banking, and technology teams.

  • Collaborate with regional hubs and global processing centers to ensure smooth operational alignment.

  • Support client onboarding and implementation from an operational perspective.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the Taiwan cash operations team, ensuring adequate staffing, training, and performance management.

  • Foster a culture of risk awareness, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.

  • Manage resource planning to support fluctuations in transaction volumes.

Business Support

  • Support new product launches and business initiatives from an operational readiness perspective.

  • Participate in impact assessments for regulatory or system changes affecting operations.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on local market practices and operational requirements.

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5-10 years of experience in banking operations, cash management operations, or payment processing.

  • Strong knowledge of Taiwan payment infrastructure and regulatory requirements.

  • Familiarity with regional cash management platforms and payment automation initiatives.

  • Prior experience working in international banks or regional operations environments.

  • Experience managing operational risk, internal controls, and audit engagements.

  • Proven team leadership and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical, process improvement, and project management capabilities.

  • Experience with SWIFT payment messages (MT/MX) and payment systems.

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin.
