Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Cash Application Analyst, based in São Paulo (BRA)
About you and this role
You will work closely with other sub-functions in the Invoice to Cash organization to deliver exceptional service to customers and maintain profitability for Dow. This role is integral to the success of the Company and business specific cash flow objectives as well as achieving key enterprise targets such as Percent Current Receivables and Days Sales Outstanding. The Cash application coordinator who will be responsible to apply payments on customer accounts for LAA region.
This role required that you gain proficiency through on-the-job training and experience. You need either deep skills in this discipline or knowledge of a range of processes, procedures, and systems. You also need a broad understanding of the job and know how to apply knowledge and skills to complete assigned tasks. You should understand how your team works with others to accomplish objectives and be able to exchange detailed, complicated information with other team members.
It is your responsibility to evaluate analytical or scientific problems in unusual situations and select solutions based on established procedures. You will serve as an informal resource on operational, administrative, data organization, or coordination tasks for less experienced team members with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance will impact the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of your own work and your team’s work. You should be able to modify work practices and processes to achieve results and/or improve efficiency.
Responsibilities:
For administrative and data coordination work, requires full proficiency gained through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience to perform a range of tasks under limited supervision
Takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions
Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data. Likely to act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
For analytical, scientific method, or operational tasks, requires job-related training and working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical scientific or operational processes under a moderate degree of supervision
Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
Assist the function/business management teams in financial analysis necessary for decision making
Record, monitor, report, and communicate function/business results, and ensure activity is accurate, complete, and compliant to accounting standards
Complete product costing of materials, reviews for variances and corrects/communicates results to business/plant management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Accounting, Finance, Business Management and Business Administration degrees are preferred.
Spanish (intermediate level), English (intermediate level)
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
Your Skills:
Accounting: Capacity to measure the results of an organization's economic activities.
Analytical Thinking: examining the information, collecting the facts and checking whether the statement follows logically in identifying causes and effects.
Excel and Power BI: Demonstrates proficiency and understanding creating charts, tables, and reports.
SAP: Proficiency /Experience as SAP Key user.
Manage Projects: Ability to participate in Project to contribute to the organization and seek opportunities to improve work processes and activities.
