The Opportunity
This position works out of our Plano, TX location in the Neuromodulation division. Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.
The Case Intake Coordinator is responsible for the intake and coordination of patient submissions to the Patient Therapy Access team while directing incoming patient, office and field representative inquiries to the appropriately assigned specialist.
What You’ll Work On
- Review incoming fax and email communication to determine appropriate disposition
- Confirm receipt of materials to original sender
- Create shell entries for new candidates and cases in SalesForce.com
- File case information in the appropriate status folder for the assigned specialist or group
- Timely processing of all incoming entries to ensure efficient processing
- Periodically assist with standard benefit verification as part of the file creation process
- Create and maintain complete and accurate records
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalency Required
- 3+ years experience in fast paced data entry and administrative role
- General knowledge of private insurance, Worker’s Compensation and Medicare guidelines pertaining to Prospective and Retrospective Utilization Review preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel specifically)
- Some SalesForce.com experience preferred
- Ability to accurately meet required time frames/deadlines
- Ability to work as a team player and share workloads with other team members
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
