The role:
As a CAS Senior Modelling Scientist, you will help drive our goals by:
• Leading computational modelling projects supporting Clean Air Solutions customer programs and internal development priorities
• Developing, validating and applying catalyst and reacting flow models for exhaust aftertreatment systems
• Designing modelling test plans and sponsoring or coordinating experimental data generation for model development
• Providing technical modelling support to commercial teams and North American OEM customers, including catalyst sizing recommendations
• Collaborating with global modelling and development teams to align tools, methods and strategies
• Communicating modelling results clearly to customers, technical stakeholders and leadership
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
• MS degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering, or Chemistry (PhD preferred)
• Experience in exhaust aftertreatment or heterogeneous catalysis modelling, including catalyst performance simulation
• Strong capability with MATLAB/Simulink and familiarity with aftertreatment, CFD or reacting flow modelling tools
• Solid understanding of catalyst design, materials science and inorganic compounds
• Ability to analyse complex data sets and translate results into clear technical insights
• Effective communicator with experience working across technical, commercial and customer-facing teams
