Position Description:

The University of Louisville (UofL) seeks a highly motivated, self-directed career Services Coordinator to join a grant. This position is funded by a grant with the National Security Agency/NCAE/University of West Florida to recruit for our Cybersecurity classes and work to place approximately 20 students each year in positions. We have developed professional workforce certificate programs targeted to individuals, corporations, military veterans, and first responders, upskilling/reskilling the workforce.  The Cybersecurity Workforce program enrolls students with the opportunity/aim for them to earn a Cybersecurity Certificate comprised of 3 levels of curriculum incorporating technology industry badges (IBM, Microsoft, Google) and is currently deployed through an asynchronous instructor-facilitated online module system. The Recruiting Coordinator will develop and execute a plan to meet the enrollment goals outlined by the grant (specifically, 500 enrollments over 2 years with approximately 20 job placements each year).

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience with multi-year projects, specifically in sales/ recruiting for adult workforce upskilling/re-skilling.  Responsibilities will include representing the University of Louisville while constructing a well-rounded system, shifting from reaching potential program candidates in innovative ways to successfully guiding participants through the program/s and coordinating with employers to place the graduates into a job.

This is a full-time, benefited position that will continue based on grant/contract funding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute innovative strategies for recruiting program participants into education pathways.

  • Coordinate communication and management efforts to ensure participants’ professional and personal success, including troubleshooting program issues and alerting team working on this grant project.

  • Establish and place approximately 20 students in jobs each year (there are 2 recruiters so that would be approximately 10 placements each).

  • Regularly keep in contact with all stakeholders of the grants, both internally and outside of marketing and recruiting efforts to facilitate smooth transitions and overall program/s success.

  • Maintain records database of productivity and prospecting information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sales.

  • Experience in recruiting, especially in an educational or workforce development setting.

  • Experience with workforce education programs.

  • Experience in marketing and advertising for recruiting.

  • Effective oral, written, interpersonal communication skills and sales/marketing skills.

  • Highly motivated individual interested in learning and problem-solving.

  • Proficient in MS Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • Organized: manages time effectively, keeps tasks prioritized.

  • Interpersonal: can build effective, strong working relationships with employees, colleagues, management, participants, and other professionals through trust, communication, and credibility.

  • Sales and recruiting experience.

  • Knowledge of higher education helpful but not required.

Target Compensation Maximum:

$32.17

Target Compensation Minimum:

$21.45

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
