The Career Center Ambassador will support the career staff and career communities with events and programs based on areas of expertise, as well as provide stellar customer service at the office front desk. In most situations, the ambassador will be the first point of contact for current and prospective students, families, alumni, employers, and faculty/staff inquiring about our resources and attending appointments, meetings, and events.
This is a unique opportunity where students can learn more about using tools and strategies to explore and develop their own career and pursue their own, more focused, professional development goals (see “tracks” below) within your role as an Ambassador, while also helping the Berklee community. Our student employees should be interested in gaining and sharing detailed knowledge about the resources we offer, job and internship search techniques, arts industry employers, and related topics. They should also be comfortable being ambassadors of the Career Center for the rest of the student body, as well as being the face of Berklee and the Career Center.
Student employees hired for this position will be hired under a 3-month probationary period. This is to ensure that this position is the right fit for the student and employer. All hired students will go through a post-semester evaluation to assess their employment status and discuss their professional “track” of focus for the project-based elements of their work (tracks at bottom of description).
