JOB SUMMARY:
Performs warehouse tasks within the Owens & Minor Distribution Center, primarily utilizing Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit
down forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.). Unloads, receives, and processes shipments. Performs bin replenishment and prepares pick locations. Accurately picks, packs, sorts and loads outbound products in accordance with customer specifications. Ensures warehouse functions are completed safely, accurately, and on‐time within company standards
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates various MHE and follows SOPs to complete assigned tasks in receiving, put away, replenishment, bulk picking, LUM picking, sortation, and loading.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment. Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management.
Knowledge of DC and shift KPIs. Able to meet LPH goals to support On-Time Delivery, Shipping Accuracy, Overtime, and Productivity KPIs.
Sets an example through actions and job knowledge to motivate peers to meet DC KPIs.
Suggests innovative ways to improve shift processes and working conditions to increase efficiency of the warehouse.
Effectively communicates with peers.
Available to work varying shifts as needed to include weekends, evenings, and OT to meet DC goals. May be asked to consider SWAT assignments.
Assists in training new teammates, provides SME level knowledge of processes.
Performs additional duties as directed.
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE:
HS Diploma or Equivalent or 1 Year of Warehouse Experience
Experience with cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit down or stand-up forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc. strongly preferred
