Schedule Details/Additional Information:

4 Ten-hour (0730-1800) shifts Monday - Friday with 1-2 nights of call and 1 call weekend every 6 weeks.

This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Based on eligibility. 

Pay Range

$34.90 - $52.35

Essential Functions

  • Demonstrates evidence-based practice and performs care for the comfort and wellbeing of the patient.
  • Performs and/or assists with treatments, therapies, and procedures (including scrub assistant, monitoring and circulating) under the direction of the physician.
  • Administers medication under the direct supervision of the physician, as appropriate
  • Documents a current clinical picture and records designated information in the patient record.
  • Conveys relevant information to physicians and teammates.
  • Calculates, interprets, and analyzes data.
  • Assists in development of policies, procedures, and standards of care reflective of current practice/literature.
  • Highly recommended to participate in committee and governance activities.
  • Demonstrates leadership in role as a preceptor and serves as a clinical resource for others.

Physical Requirements

Intermittent to rapid pace with high pressure situations, requiring periods of prolonged concentration and critical thinking. Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, manual dexterity, good eye hand coordination. Standing and walking while wearing 10-20 lbs. lead radiation protection aprons. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Potential exposure to radiation, secretions, and blood. Confined work area. Travel may be required.


Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Allied Health Technology, such as Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or comparable.
  • Graduate of Cardiovascular Interventional Program or minimum or two years of experience as a Cardiovascular Specialist.
  • Registered and certified by the ARRT or current license as a Registered Nurse in applicable state or Respiratory Therapist. If not licensed or certified (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)), allied health professionals will have 12 months to successfully obtain.
  • Must maintain current BLS, ACLS and Certification requirements.
  • The Cardiovascular / Electrophysiology (EP) Specialist II must successfully meet and maintain the requirements of the complexity-based model of care.
