Overview:

Sentara Martha Jefferson is hiring an Interventional Technologist for the Cardiac Cath and EP labs in Charlottesville, VA! This is a full time, day shift with required call.

About the department:

This well-rounded team includes 20 members focused on Cardiac Cath and EP patient populations. The Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist can expect to see 10 patients per day. The schedule is Monday to Friday days with no weekends. Rotating call after 4PM is required.

The Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist II performs complex invasive interventional procedures such as diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician while adhering to interventional and procedural policies and protocols: provides patient and family education; operates equipment safely; completes department documentation; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational; maintains adequate supply of inventory for performing examinations; participates in departmental performance improvement activities.

Education

  • Trade School Graduate required

Certification/Licensure

  • BLS required

  • ACLS within 90 days of hire

  • One of the following Certifications required: ARRT Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) - American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARRT Radiography (R) ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

Experience

  • 1 year of experience preferred

  • Invasive procedure experience

  • Cath lab experience preferred

  • Diagnostics and Structural heart experience preferred
