Work Shift: 40 hrs. per week M-F 6:00AM to 7:00PM, volume-based shift schedule. In addition to weekends. Including on call hours on a rotating schedule
Work Location: University of Miami Hospital & Clinics - Cardiac Echo Lab UTower
Searches for abnormalities in blood flow sounds or heart rhythm, oxygen saturation and the appearance of heart defects or irregularities using ultrasound equipment.
Positions patients, using immobilization when necessary, and explains procedures to patients.
Performs Venipuncture for insertion of venous catheter for contrast administration
Administer IV contrast during the performance of contrast echocardiograms.
After education on indications, contraindications and side effects.
Performs the quality control functions.
Evaluates ultrasounds for diagnostic quality.
Prepares and sets up medical supplies using aseptic techniques.
Processes echo exams with appropriate medical history and match it with the appropriate paperwork for interpretation.
Assists in maintenance and compilation of statistical data.
Performs other related duties incidental to the work therein.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate’s degree in relevant field
Certification and Licensing:
ARDMS credentialing body RDCS license or CCI credentialing body RCS license
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.
