Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Cardiac Technician Non-Invasive to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators at Saint Mary’s Hospital. Work Hours/Shift:
Full-time 40 hours
Day shift
You Will Be Responsible For:
Operates Electrocardiograph, Holter Monitor and Stress Testing equipment.
Receives exam requests and arranges procedure times.
Prior to procedure technician verifies pertinent information with the patient. The procedure is explained, and instructions are given to the patient.
Any abnormalities or other pertinent information is documented on the exam and if necessary, the patient’s physician or nurse are notified.
After the procedure is performed the study is logged into the Cardiology Information System and the equipment is properly cleaned and the supplies are replenished.
The technician is also responsible for performing other miscellaneous clerical duties such as answering the phone, scheduling appointments, transcribing studies, retrieving, and filing records.
Requirements:
Education: High School, Registered EKG Technician required.
Experience: Prefer 1-2 years of experience.
Certification: EKG certification preferred.
Skills: Basic EKG testing skills
Basic computer skills required.
Effective communication, organizational and critical thinking skills.
