Northrop Grumman Strategic Deterrent Systems Division is seeking a Capture Manager 3. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will manage the Advanced Programs Nuclear Armed Sea Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) Phase-2 TMRR capture. This position will be responsible for providing capture oversight management to achieve strategic program down-select for follow-on program phases.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

  • Work closely with program execution team to develop capture strategy and technical baseline solution

  • Perform gap analysis and use to develop teaming strategy and strategic sourcing plan

  • Develop and brief capture gate review material to senior leaders to achieve concurrence on strategy and funding during periodic gate reviews

  • Develop engagement plan and interface with customer stakeholders at program and industry events

  • Lead black hat activities for both customer and competitor assessments

  • Develop price and cost strategy and lead efforts for any Price-to-Win (PTW) analysis

  • Manage NCTA allocation to include Marketing and Sales (M&S), Bid and Proposal (B&P) and Independent Research and Development (IRAD) budgets

  • Develop keyline inputs to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Strategic Planning (LRSP) with documented Basis of Estimates (BOEs)

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience; Master's degree and 6 years of related experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree. 

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope,(< 6yrs) with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

  • 2 years of Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition experience

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • 5 years past experience with Program Management, Business Development, and Proposal Development

  • Program capture and program management experience with Navy SSP and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) programs

  • Other Transaction Authority (OTA) capture, proposal development, and program management

  • 2+ Years experience with Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process

  • Experience with AOP and LRSP planning including Potential Value (PV) Awards with time phased sales forecasts

  • Generating Business Case analysis,  Return on Investment (ROI), and NCTA forecasts by Element of Cost (EOC)

  • Risk and Opportunity development for program planning and execution

  • Experience with subcontractor sourcing, evaluation, and management   

  • TS/SCI Clearance or ability to obtain 

  • Experience managing people

  • Experience working with Navy strategic systems programs (SSP)

Primary Level Salary Range: $184,300.00 - $276,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
