The Capital Markets Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Capital Markets team.  This position has a role in trade processing, settlements, collateral valuation and movements, compliance and risk Controls, as well as process improvement and reporting functions. The Operations Analyst will support both Interest Rate Derivatives and Foreign Exchange teams as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and proactively resolve trade discrepancies with internal and/or external counterparties.
  • Confirm FX settlement details with customers, counterparties, and custodial banks.
  • Initiate payments to counterparties on the bank’s payment system.
  • Initiate cross‑border payments via SWIFT.
  • Troubleshoot payment issues and settlement instruction discrepancies.
  • Daily monitoring of dealer and client valuations and execution of margin calls.
  • Analyze and process monthly interest payments associated with collateral accounts.
  • Update, reconcile, and investigate general ledger accounts.
  • Support month‑end close activities and recurring reporting deliverables.
  • Ensure OFAC checks are completed and documented appropriately.
  • Ensure Regulation E policies are followed.
  • Generate Antil-Money Laundering reports.
  • Maintain audit‑ready documentation and support regulatory and internal audits as required.
  • Identify, escalate, and report any suspicious or potentially fraudulent activity in line with policy.
  • Identify and help to implement process improvements and control enhancements.
  • Update Procedures documents.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a financial services or accounting operations role is required.
  • Must possess knowledge of general accounting principles including reconciliations, settlements, general ledger, debit/credits etc.
  • Prior experience in foreign exchange operations relating to international payments and trade processing is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in interest rate derivative operations relating to settlements, pricing, collateral, and confirmations is strongly preferred.
  • Must possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills including experience with conditional formatting, V look ups, macros etc.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and VBA coding is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong analytical aptitude is required.
  • Must be able to effectively manage time, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer service orientation.

Salary Range:

$53,744.00 - $88,290.50

Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
