About The Role:

As a Capital Markets Analyst, you'll be responsible for developing and producing both scheduled and ad hoc data extracts and reports, providing key insights to drive smart, data-driven decisions. You’ll be the go-to expert for spotting errors in our portfolio, understanding what’s behind them, and figuring out how delinquencies impact our servicing business. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design reports, develop insights, and coordinate production schedules to ensure everything runs seamlessly.

Depending on your focus, you’ll specialize in one of these key areas:

  • Trading/Hedging

  • Pricing

  • Analyst

Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:

Trading/Hedging

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with broker-dealers, correspondents, and vendors.

  • Model different loan scenarios, make key business assumptions, and help guide smart decision-making.

  • Maximize company profits by strategically trading and hedging loans.

  • Develop and refine our retain/release methodology to optimize outcomes.

  • Use historical data to create theoretical hedging and trading scenarios, predicting future trends.

  • Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture.

Pricing

  • Keep us competitive by crafting daily rate sheets that balance great pricing with minimal risk.

  • Perform mortgage servicing rights (MSR) modeling and valuation to manage servicing portfolios and assess asset values.

  • Be the go-to person for all things related to locking—answering questions and delivering top-notch customer service.

  • Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture.

Analyst

  • Prepare and share reports with cross-functional teams to keep everyone in the loop.

  • Continuously improve reporting efficiency, ensuring data integrity and presentation quality while staying sharp with reporting tools.

  • Gather, process, and analyze historical data from various sources to uncover trends and insights.

  • Act as the bridge between Capital Markets and other teams across the company.

  • Spot errors in the data, dig into the root cause, and help drive improvements.

  • Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture.

About You:

  • You’re highly organized and know how to juggle multiple tasks without missing a beat.

  • Time management? You've got it down, you know how to prioritize and get things done.

  • You love digging into data, spotting trends, and thinking through "what if" scenarios.

  • You’ve got strong business instincts and can take complex numbers and turn them into clear, professional insights that make an impact.

  • With a strong work ethic and a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, you’re the type of person people trust to show up consistently and get the job done.

  • You’re comfortable with technology and can navigate basic computer systems with ease.

  • Your strong quantitative and analytical skills help you make smart, data-driven decisions that drive results.

  • Providing top-notch customer service comes naturally to you.

  • You’re a great communicator—whether it’s writing or speaking, you know how to get your point across clearly and effectively.

  • You thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and love working as part of a team.
