We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our small but dynamic team in the Hong Kong Sourcing Office.

Capex Sourcing Manager (5-day work, WFH policy)

Key Responsibilities:

Based in Hong Kong, this role is reporting to the company’s Group Head of Indirect Purchasing located in the UK, mainly responsible for:

  • sourcing Capex related suppliers, mainly household cleaning product related machinery and parts to deliver savings and avoid cost and risk,
  • creating and managing the vendor base,
  • leading the projects, negotiate and agree terms and conditions for supply in collaboration with colleagues across our different Divisions and Group functions,
  • working with and influence stakeholders across different sites of the group to understand their business requirements and provide optimum purchasing solutions,
  • collaborating with our EU based Capex Buyers to ensure that solutions are fully compatible with site level needs,
  • tracking and report of all relevant financial and non-financial benefits,
  • leading on intelligence gathering linked to operational and supply chain expertise and market trends to support longer-term business objectives
  • making recommendations on better practice to continuously improve Purchasing and non-Purchasing ways of working

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-years’ experience within buying role,
  • Proven track record of direct sourcing in China, highly preferable in the machinery / engineering parts industry,
  • Knowledge of working within a Global organization, with experience of serving European markets,
  • Demonstrable ability to manage multiple and complex projects, collaborating with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams to deliver functional solutions,
  • Highly proficient in strategic supplier selection,
  • Analytical, strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills,
  • Independent, able to work with limited supervision, self-motivated, diligent with mature personality,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in Chinese (including Putonghua) and English.
  • Able to travel for work, predominantly but not limited to within Asia,
  • Effectively follow Group ways of working to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and overriding Code of Business Ethics.
  • Identifying and delivering actions that mitigate risks associated with our purchasing operations and ensure supply continuity and resilience.
  • Ensuring contracts comply with legal and group organisational standards.
