The High Temperature Research Centre (HTRC)
The High Temperature Research Centre (HTRC) is a joint collaboration between Rolls-Royce & the University of Birmingham to deliver high quality product & process innovation using its advanced investment casting capability. The facility, which is based in Ansty near Coventry has 5,800 sqm facility with c. 100 staff.
What you will be doing
Put Safety First. Ensure effective implementation of HTRC (High-temperature Research Centre) HSE policy. Accountable for site-based Rolls-Royce staff & for driving plans to zero harm. Understand process risks & develop mitigations as part of a robust product safety strategy. Promote a safety-first culture in the organisation
Leadership and Resourcing. As a member of the HTRC leadership team, ensure appropriate professional development of all employees based at the HTRC. Ensure appropriate resourcing and capability levels to support all programmes and other business demands, now and in the future
Delivery. Develop & deliver new technology, capability & demonstrator hardware in line with HTRC programmes and financial performance commitments
Future Strategy. Lead development of the future strategy for the HTRC to meet current & future requirements & ensure robust plans are in place to execute the strategy in the required timescales. Identify and develop new opportunities to enhance high-temperature capability for Rolls-Royce
Influence and Collaboration. Maintain & develop positive and collaborative relationships with a full range of internal and external partners and stakeholders. Represent the company as required in external engagements

You have a breadth of leadership experience, particularly with large and/or complex/diverse teams
You have senior manufacturing/operational and, ideally, programme management experience in complex, engineering organisations. Experience in investment casting is desirable.
You have a track record of delivery of operational and strategic objectives in an environment with interfaces across multiple stakeholders
Proven ability to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Experience of the development and delivery, from vision to reality, of business strategies
Background of working with academic institutions is desirable

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.
