This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $4,119 to $5,531 | Range 46 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
High School graduation or equivalent; possession of a valid driver’s license; no previous felony convictions; AND two years of police or campus security experience or other related experience
Ability to work a schedule of rotating shifts throughout the year, which will include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
This position has been designated by the department to require a background check, motor vehicle records check, and WSP WATCH.
Obtain certification in defensive techniques and equipment within six months of initial hire. Periodic re-certification to maintain currency is required.
Possess current First Aid and AED/CPR certification or obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from the Criminal Justice Training Commission.
Be able to obtain a Law Enforcement Commission; a Spokane Police Department limited commission.
Experience working in a diverse environment.
