We are looking for you to join our Northrop Grumman Mission Systems team as a Calibration Tech 3 based out of Salt Lake City, UT.

What you'll get to do:

  • Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.

  • Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements.

  • Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters.

  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

The ideal candidate must have basic computer skills, work in team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks simultaneously to accomplish the project result, frequently push a calibration cart to various on-site locations, frequently bend, kneel, move objects up to 40lbs., stoop to gain access to equipment and adjustments, and support occasional overtime work as needed. The ideal candidate must also be able to apply technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts.

Basic Qualifications for the Calibration Tech 3:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of experience calibrating equipment in a Manufacturing or Test Environment.

  • Experience Testing, calibrating, adjusting, and/or maintaining Temperature Thermal Chambers Electronic equipment (Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Counters and/or AC/DC power supplies).

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Experience analyzing data to discover facts, knowledge, interpretations to carry out prescribed action(s).

  • Experience computing, analyzing, and interpreting numerical data for reporting purposes.

  • Experience validating and adjusting precise measurements.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Metrology equipment calibration lab environment or equivalent.

  • Military experience calibrating electronic or avionic equipment.

  • Active Secret Clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $95,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
